WIP gemma ward drawing

Just wanted to share these work in progress photos with you. It`s a portrait of Gemma ward. I really love the photography I`m drawing ( link to the photo: HERE). I decided to make this drawing because I wanted to try out a new tecnique. I`ve always used a little smuding on my drawings, but NOT much. To the point, I googled how to draw skin, and found a tutorial. In the tutorial the guy used a smudge tecnique, he used a piece of cotton and a q-tips. He also started as people apearently should, with layers. I`ve never been expecially good at that. I`ve kind of started with the scratch of course, then I`ve continiued with the eye for example and the shadows mostly came while I was drawing. Now I started with the shadows. First very weak on the first layer, then darker and darker. The cotton worked perfectly to smudge with! It leaves a very smooth result. Finally my finger got some rest, hehe.
On top of all that I`ve used my normal tecnique with hard pencils for the shadow and those small almost not visible important details.
I`ve also worked a lot on contrasts. Which I`m getting much better at! Before I almost just used the hard pencils, had to force myself to try out the softer ones. haha.
The drawing is still far from finished, but I will upload the result when I`m done :)

Thats enough for now.
What do you think?

Victoria`s secret perfume commercial

This is the final commercial photo from the first photoshoot. I really like the result, but I had to do a lot editing to get it of course.

Enjoy ^^
